For the more eagle-eyed Instagramer, the famous rainbow lives on in a gradient in the logo’s background. Together with the new look, the platform has updated the app’s interface with updated icons for their other creative apps: Layout, Boomerang and Hyperlapse and a simpler design puts more focus on your photos and videos. In an announcement by Instagram, they say “Our updated look reflects how vibrant and diverse your storytelling has become.”
The change represents a big leap for the social media giant.
